Solar PV Plus Battery Storage Project Portfolio, Tanzania

Solar power in Africa is on its way to becoming a market commodity: there has been a shift in the African solar photovoltaic (PV) sector away from donor-driven projects towards market-driven investments.  While public institutions lag in their commitments to fund the transition to solar energy, research indicates that a large percentage of -public and private- funds raised to mitigate the negative effects of climate change are invested in the same countries from which they originate.  Solarcollab has local solar developers in Tanzania, organizing solar power systems for local businesses, manufacturers, health clinics, hotels, restaurants and universities.

Through solarcollab’s crowd investment platform we are able to attract global investors to help accelerate the adoption of clean renewable energy throughout the local communities in Tanzania, Africa.
